About Gina Leguria
One tragic moment changed everything. My father—a hardworking, loving man who spent his life providing for our family—was suddenly taken from us in a car accident at just 42 years old. I was in my early twenties, standing shell-shocked with two younger siblings looking to me for answers I didn’t have.
What followed was a nightmare no grieving family should endure. For four and a half agonizing years, we battled through probate court, watching helplessly as attorneys’ fees and government costs devoured what should have been our father’s legacy. My dad, who had done everything right in life except planning for the unthinkable, couldn’t protect us one last time.
That experience in 1999 became my calling. It’s why I went to law school. It’s why I founded this firm in 2009. And it’s why, for over a decade, I’ve dedicated my life to ensuring other families never face what mine did.

Family
Education
Gina attended Modesto Junior College before earning a bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She went on to receive a Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. In 1999, she graduated from the McGeorge School of Law, the University of the Pacific with a Juris Doctor degree and passed the Bar exam on her first try.
Professional Experience
Ms. Leguria’s experience includes working in the Stanislaus County CEO’s office, County Counsel, and as a senior advisor to the Stanislaus County Sheriff Department. Gina also worked in higher education with California State University Stanislaus and in the California Community College system as a Vice Chancellor for Human Resources for the Yosemite Community College District.
In 2009, Gina founded Leguria Law, and became a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys (AAEPA).
She has consistently completed at least 36 hours of annual Continuing Legal Education in estate planning, elder law, special need disability planning, and taxation. Gina is an active member of the California State Bar and has addressed numerous professional and community organizations as she regularly conducts public and private seminars on estate planning, elder law, and related matters.
Gina has combined a background in public service with a wide range of legal and personal experience to provide clients with a uniquely practical perspective on Estate Planning.
